FISH THE KENNY VINES MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT!
Event Date: September 11-12 2026

Tournament History
Kenneth "KV" Vines was a fixture of the Alabama Gulf Coast, deeply embedded in the local community through his work with KV Yacht Brokerage and his founding roles in cultural staples like the Elberta Sausage Festival and the Orange Beach Seafood Festival. Beyond his civic contributions, he was an ardent sportfishing enthusiast and conservationist, lending his time and energy to organizations such as the Orange Beach Sport Fishing Club, the Billfish Foundation, and the Coastal Conservation Association. Known for his high energy, generous spirit, and great sense of humor, he left an enduring mark on the region's waterways and the people who navigated them.
To honor his legacy, the Orange Beach Sport Fishing Club established the Kenny Vines Memorial Tournament, an event intentionally designed to prioritize fun, community camaraderie, and family over high-stakes competition. Reflecting Kenny’s own generous spirit, the tournament has naturally evolved into a celebration where junior anglers frequently take the rods and win prizes—an unintended consequence that perfectly captures his passion for the sport and the local community.
What We Stand For

Fishing in Orange Beach
Orange Beach is widely recognized as the "Charter Fishing Capital of the World," and for good reason. Thanks to one of the largest artificial reef programs in the United States, our local waters are absolutely teeming with an incredible variety of marine life. Whether you are fishing the back bays for speckled trout and redfish, dropping lines over the reefs for prize-winning Red Snapper and amberjack, or heading out to the deep blue for massive yellowfin tuna, marlin, and wahoo, there is always a target species waiting to test your drag.
